Foundation FAQs

The Spanish-Chinese Cultural Foundation welcomes applications for membership from the following organizations or individuals:

  • Government agencies and public institutions in Spain and China;
  • A company dedicated to economic and trade relations and cultural exchanges between China and the West;
  • Cultural and arts organizations, institutions of higher education, and research think tanks;
  • Individuals with a passion for cultural exchange between China and the West (Honorary Members or Individual Members).

Applicants must agree with the Foundation’s mission (to promote cultural exchange between China and the West and to advance bilateral cooperation) and complete the official application form. Institutional members must provide a business license or proof of organization status, while individual members must provide identification information. The Foundation will review the applications, and upon approval, applicants will officially become members.

The following categories are currently available:

  • Strategic Partners (Government and Large Organizations)
  • Institutional Members (Companies, Educational Institutions, Associations)
  • Cultural Partners
  • Individual Member / Honorary Member

As a nonprofit foundation, we operate on an annual membership fee system. Membership fees vary by category; please refer to the *Membership Services Handbook* or contact the Secretariat for specific amounts. Certain strategic partners may apply for fee reductions or special sponsorship programs.

  • Priority participation in cultural exhibitions, forums, and business matchmaking events featuring Chinese and Western cultures organized by the Foundation;
  • Access resource matching and referral services from governments and businesses in both China and the West;
  • Participate in training sessions, study tours, and cultural activities organized by the foundation for free or at a discounted rate;
  • Exclusive member newsletters and the latest updates on Sino-Western cooperation;
  • Prioritize the use of the Foundation’s facilities and resources for support;
  • Certificates of Honor and Official Recognition.

Membership is valid for one year (starting from the date of approval). We will send a renewal reminder one month before the expiration date; once you renew, you can continue to enjoy your membership benefits.

Yes. Outstanding members may apply to become project partners to jointly organize activities such as cultural exhibitions, business delegations, and corporate roadshows. The Foundation will provide strong support in areas such as resource coordination and publicity and promotion.

Most public events are open to the general public, but members enjoy priority registration, discounted rates, and exclusive sessions. Some high-end, closed-door events are limited to members and specially invited guests.

Members can submit partnership requests through the “Members’ Area.” Our professional team will match resources from both China and the West based on these requests and arrange online or in-person meetings while ensuring confidentiality.

Members may apply to resign at any time. Annual membership fees already paid are non-refundable but will remain valid until the end of the current membership term. The Foundation reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member who seriously violates the Foundation’s bylaws.

We strictly comply with the EU’s GDPR and China’s Personal Information Protection Law, and keep all information submitted by members confidential. We will not disclose any business information to third parties without the member’s written consent.

Yes. We offer the “Youth Cultural Ambassadors” program. Undergraduate and graduate students can apply to become student members and enjoy significantly reduced membership fees as well as additional opportunities for cultural exchange and learning.
